Handmade alamannic disc brooch out of bronze with enamel inlays. We mould the disc brooch based on the find from the burial ground Fridingen, found it out of bronze and equiped it with enamel inlays. Diameter ca. 2,5 cm. The originals had garnet inlays and they were made out of silver or gold. At the back is a needle and a catch. Dating 6th century.
Very similar brooches are known from graves in big parts of Europe - Germany, Hungary, Austria (e.g. Langobardic burial ground from Mödling (Austria)) and they are assigned either the Alamanni or the Langobards.
