Woolen cloak

Cloak - calf-lenght cape out of woolfabric. This type of warming outerwear traces its origins back to the Romans ( Cuculla) and occurs again and again in a similar way - on the image sources also in the high and late middle ages. The cloak is similar to a poncho, is coated over the head, does not have a closure, is made from one piece of fabric. For large sizes, we make the cloak out of two parts and add a seam on the shoulders - to reach a proper length for the arms. The cloak is a little shorter in the front than behind. In the front it reaches just below the knees, in the back to the mid-calf. The cloak has a hood. The hem is rounded. The cloak is entirely handsewn from us.
 

The cloak/Kappa will be made to measure and it will be made individual according to your wishes, therefore it is a custom-made item.

For the cloak you have here in the onlineshop different variants to choose from, which determine the price depending on material costs and working time.

• Fabric: You can choose if we shall provide the fabric, or if you want to send us a fabric. For this cloak we will need about 2,5 m of fabric (without lining).

• Lining: You can choose if the cloak shall be lined with linen, wool or not at all.
