Cotte (dress) late middle age – Cotehardie

Late middle aged close fitting dress out of wool with a large decollete, it is buttoned in the front down to the waist and the sleeves are buttoned to the elbows too. The buttons are handmade out of the same fabric as the cotte. Dating 2nd half of 14th and 15th century.

The cotte will be made to measure and it will be made individual according to your wishes, therefore it is a custom-made item.

For the cotte you have here in the onlineshop different variants to choose from, which determine the price depending on material costs and working time.

• Fabric: You can choose if we shall provide the fabric, or if you want to send us a fabric. For this cotte we will need about 4 m of fabric (without lining).

• Version: You can choose if the inseams of the cotte shall be sewn with the sewing machine and the visible seams with hand, or if the cotte shall be sewn entirely by hand.

• Lining: You can choose if the cotte shall be lined with linen, wool or not at all.
