In the Celtic finds a difference between Hallstatt and La Tène period is usually shown, with even more accurate classifications are made at the two epochs.

The women clothes Celts is reconstructed mainly with the help of the metal finds and its location in the graves.

The following garments are  attributed to the Celtic women:

Peplos - a tube-like dress, with or without flap

Blouse - these can there be presumed where one finds no shoulder brooches

Skirt - either sewn together or as a wrapskirt

Mantle - Cloak, rectangular cloak

Coat, tunic - with a straight form, with sleeves

Celtic peplos

Peplos - tube dress out of wool or linen, a dress in the form of a simple tube, sewn together with only one seam.
