Färben mit Waid
Ich möchte mein Garten auch als ein Färbegarten in naher Zukunft intensiver nutzen.
Es ist mir gelungen einige Färbepflanzen erfolgreich einzupflanzen. Dazu zählt unter anderem der Färberwaid.
Hier steht der Färberwaid in voller Blüte.
Letzten Sommer habe ich ein paar eher weniger erfolgreiche Versuche mit Waid zu Färben oder aus den Waidblätter den Farbpigment zu extrahieren, unternommen.
Erst vor kurzem habe ich noch ein paar kleine Waidpflanzen im Garten entdeckt und mich entschlossen noch einmal mit den Blätter zu Färben.
Ich habe alle gefundene Blätter gesammelt, zerkleinert und eingewässert.
Dann wurde die Brühe erwärmt und Natriumhydrosulfit zugefügt
Dann wurde gerührt und durch das Einschlagen der Luft, entstand ein bläulicher Schaum
Für Färbeversuch habe ich weißes und gelbes (mit Färberkamille gefärbt) Wollgarn genommen
schon nach einigen Minuten in der Brühe hat sich das Garn verfärbt
die Oxidation hat weiter gewirkt und das Farbergebnis hat sich schnell verändert
Durch mehrfaches Eintauchen in die Färbebrühe hat sich die Farbe intensiviert
Ich warte ob mein Färberwaid im Frühjahr wieder wächst.
Die gesammelten Samen werden neu eingesät und ich hoffe etwas mehr Farbergebnisse zu erreichen
