Early middle aged dress - tablet woven braid

The dress out of wool or linen has a straight form out of two rectangles, the half-length sleeves (ca. up to the elbow) are straight too and sewed on. The length of the dress reaches short under the knee. The sleeve hems and the half-round neckline are decorated with tablet woven braids. The braids are based on the preserved braids of the St. Bertille and woven out of a vegetable dyed woolen yarn. For the germanic women's clothing there are almost no finds or images, therefore the fashion can only be a reconstruction attempt. The fashion of this dress is a possible solution. • Fabrictype: You can choose if the dress shall be made out of wool or linen.
