Braies - 'wrapbraies'

Braies out of lightly bleached linen. The braies in this form was worn in the high middle age. We reconstructed the fashion based on the images of the Maciejowskibible. The braies has a very large width (ca. 2,5 - 3 times the waist cirsumference) and excess lenght, the upper part will be rolled down and forms a slub at the waist. Lenght of the pant legs is ca. to the knee. The pant legs are open and the will be rolled from behinde to the front around the leg and they will be attached with fingerloop braids to the waistband. Fingerloop braids out of linen made with fingerloop technique are included in the price.

The braies will be made to measure and it will be made individual according to your wishes, therefore it is a custom-made item.

For the braies you have here in the onlineshop different variants to choose from, which determine the price depending on material costs and working time.

• Fabric: You can choose if we shall provide the fabric, or if you want to send us a fabric. For this braies we will need about 2,5 m of fabric.

• Version: You can choose if the inseams of the braies shall be sewn with the sewing machine and the visible seams with hand, or if the braies shall be sewn entirely by hand.
